Latex or latexfree? Feel the difference!

Condoms can be made from different materials. They are mostly made of latex (natural rubber latex), a very elastic natural product. Latex is a renewable raw material that is mainly grown in Asia but also in South America. A large number of condoms for allergics are also available for people with a latex allergy or latex hypersensitivity. Alternatives to latex condoms include AT-10, polyisoprene, or polyurethane condoms. The material used to manufacture these latex-free condoms is a heat-conducting and sensitive plastic.

The material from which condoms are made must have a variety of properties.
* It should of course be tear-resistant, durable and also elastic to ensure the greatest possible safety.
* Normal temperature fluctuations and the usual mechanical stress must not damage the condom.
* The condom should remain usable for several years from the date of manufacture without becoming rough or permeable.
* Auxiliary materials used for manufacturing must be harmless to the human body.

In addition to these properties, which are relevant for the suitability as a contraceptive, the condom must of course be made of a material that feels as real as possible. Ideally, it is soft, heat-conducting and allows a natural feeling. A pleasant smell is also important to many condom users. After all, condoms are not supposed to be mood killers!

In addition, there are other points to consider when buying condoms, e.g. whether the condoms are suitable for vegans, or are made from fair-trade latex, or whether they are free of chemicals and harmful substances. In our well-assorted range you will surely find the condom that suits your needs.
