Please note that unfortunately not all sustainable condoms are completely vegan. We have also marked the condoms that are suitable for vegans as "Vegan"!
Why can condoms be "not vegan"? Casein, a milk protein, is used during the manufacturing process of conventional (non-vegan) condoms. Vegan condoms do without this and use plant extracts instead.
The British Vegan Society has classified GLYDE products as vegan condoms since 2006 (see here). Many other brands are now available on the European market, too.
